Booking terms and conditions of booking
We look forward to welcoming you. When you make your booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.
Thank you for choosing to stay at Walker Ground Manor.
Payment Details
For all bookings we require a deposit of £20.00 per person to confirm the booking. Would you please make sure that this reaches us within 10 days of making the booking. We will send you a letter confirming the booking and detailing the outstanding balance. The balance is due on departure.
Please note: we do not accept credit cards
Prices
The price includes accommodation and breakfast. There are also complementary tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms. We accept payment in cash and personal or traveller cheques. Please make cheques payable to ‘Walker Ground’.
Dogs
A well behaved dog, with its own bed, is permitted in the Veranda room by prior arrangement.
The room has a small entrance hall, which is suitable for a dog-bed etc. Care should be taken please when exercising dogs near the house, and it is advisable to kept them on a lead when on nearby farm land.
Under no circumstances must a pet be left in the room unattended.
Cancellation and Insurance
Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you have paid is non-refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us as soon as possible.
For cancellations made up to 14 days before the booking you will not be liable to the total balance. For cancellations made within this time you will be liable for the total amount. (Every effort will be made to re-let the room and adjust the charge accordingly.) Failure to take up the booking without cancelling will make you liable for the total amount. For this reason you may wish to consider taking out cancellation insurance.
Non-availability
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Arrival
Your accommodation will available to you from 4pm on your day of arrival unless otherwise arranged. Please let us know if you are to arrive after 6pm. Should you wish to arrive earlier, to park or drop off luggage, please let us know in advance.
Departure
Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10am on your day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Your bill for your accommodation will be payable on departure. Should you wish to leave luggage, or park after your departure time, please let us know in advance.
Damages and Breakages
Please take care of our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you cause, to the accommodation and its contents. Please let us know of any instances as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice if the damage or breakage is significant. We may consider an additional charge up to £100.00 (dependent upon the damage and disruption caused) if you do not report the damage as soon as it occurs.
Liability
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless it is proven to have been caused by a negligent act by ourselves or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Data
Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer.
