Walker Ground Manor - Working with the
Tourism and Conservation Partnership
Walker Ground Manor is proud to be an associate member of the partnership, who through their work, encourage businesses, visitor & local people to contribute to conservation work within the National Park.
We believe that the majority of our guests will have a positive understanding of ‘responsible tourism’ and be happy to put something back into the conservation of the Lake District and the countryside that brings them so much pleasure.
We hope that all our guests will also share our commitment to ensuring long-term conservation work, and therefore we operate an ‘opt-out’ donation scheme.
£1.00 per adult, per visit, is added to a guest’s bill, unless they indicate otherwise. (This will be matched funded 50% by us.)
To date (1/04/07) we have raised £4,526.
