Walker Ground Manor Guestbook

All three of us had a fantastic stay at Walker Ground Manor... and we had the place all to ourselves, which I believe is quite rare.

We only stayed the weekend but could quite easily have stayed a few weeks. The en-suite bathroom, with free standing cast iron bath, was huge. The four poster bed was really comfortable and luxurious.

Everything about Walker Ground Manor was impeccable, not to mention the friendly and welcoming hosts. Like everyone else who have left comments... we'll be back!

Absolutely fabulous stay for our anniversary. Our usual B & B wasn't open so we stayed here instead. Should have come years ago! Excellent value for money. We stayed in the Four poster room which is huge, sat in the fluffy dressing gowns and drank our champagne (glasses provided). Everything was spotless and the breakfast fantastic. We will be back.

We have been to Walker Ground on numerous occasions. Hospitality is always fantastic and now the place feels like a second home. You could not wish for a better break.

Another excellent stay at Walker Ground and we will be back again in October. You wont find a better place in the Lake District. Hawkshead is ideal and Doug and Andrea make you feel at home.

Fabulous place,lovely bedroom with everything you need.Especially enjoyed the four poster bed! Lovely breakfast served by Dougie.Great location, quiet but just a short stroll to the village.

Great room, great food, great hosts, thank you for making us feel welcome, we will be visiting you again for sure best B&B we have stayed in by far.

My friend & I stayed at Walker Ground for three nights in July this year. We had a fantastic time. Help with suitcases and good advice about what to do. We had the back bedroom as a twin and it was spacious, clean and cut glass wine glasses provided. The bath was huge and great for a good soak after a days walk.
We tried to book again but they were full. Our alternative choice was not a patch on this and we will book well in advance in the future.
