The Garden & Grounds at Walker Ground Manor

A beautiful haven of peace and tranquility at any time of year.

Our beautiful Lakeland garden is a true delight, begining with the abundance of the first snowdrops and daffodils, then the magnificent Azaleas and Rhododendrons of Spring, followed by the planted pots, tubs and hanging baskets of Summer, then the glorious colours of  Autumn finally  ending with the frosts, snows and the clear views of Winter. The beck and waterfall are truly a stunning picture, with features that change from day to day. The formal garden gives way to the woodland and fields beyond with its numerous trees and shrubs. Guests are invited to explore the garden at any time of year. The patio and  ‘Outside Lounge’ area are very popular on sunny afternoons and warm evenings. Those who are prepared to venture up the hill are rewarded with fantastic views of the valley and fells beyond. There a great view from the front gate too.

    Our Alpacas

Our field is now home to our beautiful Alpaca boys Kroston, Murray & Chadwick who help to look after our flock of girls (Hens). Yes, they do all have names!

Whilst our guests are welcome to go and look the boys in their field, due to insurance restrictions guests are not permitted to enter the field and we are unable to offer guests any hands on interaction, walks etc.
