Access Statement - Walker Ground Barn

This statement describes the access, procedures and facilities at Walker Ground Barn so the guests may ensure our property is suitable for their requirements.

The Barn which was converted in the 1980's into a holiday let, is attached to our house which dates form the early C17th . It has been altered many times over the years, and is now on several levels, with multiple step and steep stairs, therefore we are not suitable for guests with restricted mobility.

We wish your stay with us to be as comfortable as possible, therefore please ensure we are aware of any special requirement you have prior to arrival. Do not hesitate to ask if you have any concerns about access or there is anything that you require.

Access to the Barn

We have a large car park at the front of the house surfaced with gravel. The surface is uneven in places. During the hours of darkness there are no nearby streetlights and the car park and outside lighting is minimal.

  • Guests can be dropped off within 1 metres of the front Door.
  • Car parking is within 10 metres from the front Door
  • The surface is slate gravel.
  • There is a gravel area in front of the Barn with table & chairs.

The standard front door opens directly into the open plan Living Area

There is a standard doorway then 3 steps ( height 18 cm width 85 cm ) with no rail leading to the inner hall
